What's that thundering sound? You're hearing millions of gallons of water spilling over 170-foot cliffs every few seconds. This city is named for its biggest star: Niagara Falls. You've probably seen it in pictures, and even a few films. Up close and in person, the power and grandeur of the roaring waters still take you by surprise. Feel the intensity as you stand amid clouds of rising mist and rainbow-painted spray on the Maid of the Mist boat tour or the
Cave of the Winds walk. You can take in a bird's-eye view from the Observation Tower. Any seat in the house offers a wonderful view at the
Top of the Falls restaurant.
For some family fun, take a short walk from the famous Falls to the
Aquarium of Niagara. You'll make fast friends with performing sea lions and penguins. Nearby, the
Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel presents top entertainers and fine dining. Don't even think about going over the falls in a barrel. Very few daredevils survive. If you want to actually step into swirling waters, try the hydrotherapy bath at the hotel's spa.
