Discover the abundance of attractions in the Chautauqua-Allegheny Region this summer!  Treat yourself to accommodations that range from Victorian style B&Bs and resorts to cabins or campgrounds.  Sample the culinary delights found at local restaurants.

For outdoor adventure, try a guided trail or wagon ride at the Crosspatch Horse Ranch in Salamanca.  You’ll travel through dense forests across thousands of acres of state land where you may see an abundance of wildlife.  A visit to Wild Bill's Old West Town brings the Wild West to life.  Catch the "Wild Bunch" show with gun and rope spinning demonstrations, whip cracking, trick shooting and a mounted cowboy balloon shoot contest.

Enjoy the region's Amish Country, where you’ll find an abundance of farm markets offering everything from fresh herbs, berries, vegetables and maple products to prepared foods and beautiful craftwork.

Visit Jamestown, the hometown of that wacky red-head - Lucille Ball - of "I Love Lucy " fame, where you can tour the Lucy-Desi Museum, the Desilu Playhouse and the Lucy-Desi Gift Shop.  Other museums in the area include the Salamanca Rail Museum, the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum, and the Call Homestead Museum.  Local historic sites include the Dunkirk Lighthouse on Lake Erie, which was built in 1827 and is still in use  today.  Much more than a historic site, the Chautauqua Institution is an experience in itself!  You will want to spend several days here attending lectures, recreational activities and religion and art study.
