Fall in New York State has something for everyone. Crisp, cool days transform our state into a breathtaking palette of fall colors-with many vantage points to view it from! Check out our weekly fall foliage report, released each Wednesday, to track where in the state you can find leaves at peak autumn color.
Once you've decided on a fall foliage destination, consider a scenic train ride to take it all in-or go on a self-guided driving tour with just your sweetheart. If you're up for an adventure, the view can't be beat from a hot air balloon ride over the Adirondacks!
If fall foliage isn't your thing, try traversing a corn maze, making your way through a haunted house or biting into the season's first apple cider donuts. Visit a New York winery (or brewery!). Find menu inspiration in fresh fall produce at one of more than 300 farm stands and farmer's markets statewide.
New York State offers fall fun for the whole family. Head to a pumpkin patch for Halloween fun-and while you're there, take a hayride, visit a petting zoo, or even fire a pumpkin cannon.
For a low-key autumn adventure, take a hike in one of New York State's 178 state parks, where you'll find over 17,000 miles of scenic hiking, biking, horseback riding and canoe trails.
