The free tour features farms throughout Chatham open from 10am-4pm. There will be horse, dairy, alpaca, sheep and cattle and produce farms and stands open, many with local farm products to purchase. The tour allows visitors to see the diverse face of farming in Chatham, with fun and activities for all ages. New this year, local artists will be featured at each farm exhibiting and selling art they have created working in the tradition of the Hudson River School en plein air (outdoors) at the featured farms. The oil painters, watercolorists, pastelists, photographers, and artists working in other media have gotten to know the intimate life cycles of farming over the year, and have captured the beauty, vitality, and rhythms of these Chatham farms on paper and canvas. More information about the artists and the farm at which they will be exhibiting is available through a link on the Keep Chatham Farming website, or the website of Columbia County Plein Air Artists.
