LGBTQ Travel in New York State

Pride events and more to celebrate throughout the year

New York is a place where history, food, music, art, culture, and people of all backgrounds come together in a vibrant melting pot. New York has thriving LGBTQ communities, rich history, and it remains one of the most welcoming places for LGBTQ visitors in the world.

There is no better place to enjoy LGBTQ history and culture than New York. From historically significant sites to energetic neighborhoods, there are countless places to explore and learn about New York’s unparalleled role in advancing LGBTQ rights.

Come celebrate Pride where it started. In the summer of 1969, the Stonewall Uprising in Greenwich Village sparked the beginning of the modern LGBTQ rights movement. A year later, the Christopher Street Liberation Day March took place to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The community has been marching ever since! Come celebrate Pride in New York.
