Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park

Details

A hidden gem in the Wheeler Hill Historic District of the Town of Wappinger. Grounds are open daily for hiking and recreational activities. Carnwath is home to its 1850 pre-restoration mansion, Carnwath Manor; the 1873 Carriage House; a 1927 Administration Building (future home of the Town of Wappinger Museum and Visitor Center); 1950s Frances Reese Cultural Center (home of the Sports Museum of Dutchess County); and a spacious chapel. Free, but donations gladly accepted.
