Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium

FEATURED
Details

An official Path Through History Site! First opened by the state in 1883, the hatchery became a nonprofit educational facility in 1982, which houses the largest living collection of freshwater fish, amphibians, snakes, and turtles native to NYS. Visitors can tour two aquarium buildings and eight outdoor ponds, feed the hungry trout, and try fishing. Special events offer the public an opportunity to learn more about the creatures that inhabit New York State's natural environment.
