Delaware Highlands Conservancy

Details

The Van Scott Nature Reserve is the headquarters of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy and features three miles of walking trails through the woods, wildflower meadows, and wetlands. The Reserve is open from sunrise to sunset every day unless otherwise noted. Please note, to protect sensitive wildlife habitat, dogs are not allowed on the Reserve. The Eagle Watch program of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy is hosted at the Conservancy's Winter Field Office in Lackawaxen, PA and offers information about eagles and eagle habitat, "eagle etiquette," and safe eagle viewing. The Winter Field Office is open on weekends in January and February. The Conservancy hosts Eagle Watch bus tours throughout the winter season (advance reservations are required), and staffs Eagle Observation Areas throughout the Upper Delaware River region.
