Gold Star Battalion Beach

Details

Gold Star Battalion Beach is a town-owned beach on Huntington Harbor. Though calm, the beach’s water may not be the most inviting but there is a roped off swimming area for those interested. Fishing and kayaking are more popular activities at the beach and visitors looking to relax might make use of the deck area equipped with picnic tables and benches. Restrooms are open for visitors. This small beach lays in dedication to the 227 men of the Huntington Township who joined the Gold Star Battalion in World War II. A plaque resides in the beach as a memorial to these brave men. 400 feet off Huntington Bay, nonresident fee
