Great Camp Sagamore

Add to Itinerary
Details

A National Historic Landmark designed by William West Durant, Sagamore was the summer and winter vacation retreat for the Vanderbilt family from 1901 to 1954. We now operate as a Not for Profit and offer daily historical tours of the complex and a variety of overnight programs for families, outdoor enthusiasts, artists and more! Our mission is to foster understanding, care, and respect for nature, people and their critical interdependence. Great Camp Sagamore strives to be a place where broad and diverse audiences gather to use these unique buildings and natural setting to explore and understand our Adirondack culture, environment, and relationship to both. Open Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
