Hutchinson's Boat Works

Hutchinson’s Boat Works (HBW) is a full-service marina located directly on the St. Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay. Hutchinson’s has been in business since 1908. It is a fourth-generation family-owned business. New boat brands carried are Sea Ray, Bennington Pontoon, and Beneteau Power Boats. A large variety of used and brokerage boats are also offered for sale. The sales department assists with all steps of the buying process, from getting financing to in-water delivery with docking lessons. Time is taken to go through all systems on the boat, including navigation and any other questions. There is a well-stocked marine store for all boating needs. Marine oil, hardware, fenders and lines, life vests, and hard-to-find parts are in stock. The indoor showroom has 20 boats for show year-round. The service department offers Mercury, Mercruiser, and Yamaha repairs, electronics installations, fiberglass repairs, and boat detailing. They have factory diagnostic software from both Mercruiser and Yamaha engines. They also have two forklifts and a 38-ton travel lift. Dockage is available at the main location on Holland Street across from historic Boldt Castle or at the Bethune Street location near the village dock. Gas, diesel, and marine pump out are also available at that location. There are public launch ramps nearby. Both locations offer transient dockage as well as monthly or seasonal dockage. Both locations are within walking distance of churches, stores, and restaurants.
