An official Path Through History Site! Kingston`s Old Dutch Church was founded in 1659, though the current structure was built in 1852. Artifacts on display include a letter from George Washington. The upper floor contains artifacts and records dating back to 1660, while the surrounding churchyard contains historic gravestones dating back to 1710. Approximately 70 Revolutionary War soldiers are buried here. It is also the burial place of George Clinton, New York`s first governor, and vice president under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The Old Dutch Church Heritage Museum offers both tours and genealogy.
