DAY 1: Check in at Button's Creekside Farm Bed & Breakfast Any time after noon then spend the day in nearby Hammondsport, the town voted "Coolest Small Town In America, 2012" where you can tour the wineries, shops & museums. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many restaurants along the lake then back to Button's Creekside Farm Bed & Breakfast for a sweet treat before retiring to your cozy rooms. Wake up to the wonderful aromas of your down-on-the-farm country breakfast then...
At 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.you'll go a couple miles down the road where you'll spend the morning at "2 Crocked Pots" Artisans Pottery & Jewelry Studio. You will be given a tour of the professional potter's studio and a demonstra- tion by potter, Cub Storms. (Minimum of 4 to hold a class). You can then either glaze or paint a mug, a bowl or a bottle topper or make a necklace slide and earring set which includes a leather necklace cord in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. You will then have time to look around the shop at your leisure. Light refreshments will be provided.
The afternoon/evening is on your own with your choice of many possible activities... Cummings Nature Center (just outside of nearby Naples, NY); Carriage House Quilt Shop (Naples); Hazlet's Winery (Naples) and dinner at one of the fine restaurants in Naples, NY Corning Museum of Glass is only a 30 minute drive from Cohocton as is the Glenn H Curtiss Museum history of aviation and the famous Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Homemade pie awaits your evening return to Button's Creekside Farm Bed & Breakfast to give you a chance to unwind before retiring after a full day of fun & learning.
DAY 2: Following another scrumptious breakfast, at 11:00 a.m. we will escort you to a nearby farm where you can watch the amazing process of cows (50 at a time) being milked on the first and largest in the U.S., agricultural Merry-Go-Round; then back to 2 Crocked Pots at 1:00 p.m. to pick up your one-of-a-kind personal creation and head for home with memories that will last forever!
