Capital District Garden and Flower Show
Every March this annual event features over 100 garden and floral exhibits spotlighting the creativity, beauty and design behind spring flowers. Enjoy garden tips and trends, demonstrations, NYS wine tastings, food, and soil testing by Cornell Cooperative Extension. Plants, bulbs, flowers and seeds are available for sale so you'll be ready to grow your own beautiful spring garden!
Macy's Flower Show
Head to New York City's Herald Square for gorgeously bright floral arrangements at the annual Macy's Flower Show. Enjoy two weeks of live music, family-friendly activities and seminars in celebration of spring.
Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden
The annual Spring Flower Exhibit welcomes the season with beautifully bright flowers and gardens March through mid-April. Enjoy this family-friendly event as baby bunnies, chicks, lambs and more friends visit the 4-H Farm. Later, check out the Fairy and Gnome Festival and many more events at Buffalo's beautiful gardens!
Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden
New York City's rite of spring, this annual event runs April through mid-May celebrating the Japanese tradition of cherishing cherry blossom season. Stroll under a fragrant canopy of cherry trees, see blossom-inspired artwork in the gallery, savor Japanese specialties at the terrace café and much more!
Discover Teatown Lake Reservation's Wildflower Island, a two-acre garden island brimming with over 230 native and endangered species of wildflowers. Surrounded by water on all sides, the Island hosts a diverse range of flora that grows undisturbed by mainland animals or activities. Explore this colorful haven with tours running April through September.
Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park
This historic mansion and garden is full of color with outdoor art shows, garden tours and wine and cheese tastings held April through October. Check out their Wildflower and Orchid Show, wine-themed Roses and Rosés event, a Moonlight Stroll Music Series in the summer, Art at the Garden in August and many more seasonal events!
New York Botanical Garden
Featuring world-class gardens for 125 years, the Garden hosts a series of spring events like the Daffodil Celebration and Wine Weekend in April where visitors will enjoy tastings from local vineyards, wine talks from the experts, live music, guided garden tours and the anticipated bloom of 150,000 daffodil bulbs! In June, check out Rose Garden Weekend for two days of live music, plant demonstrations, tours and refreshments.
Albany Tulip Festival
Embrace spring's lively atmosphere this Mother's Day weekend with outdoor festivities and over 100,000 blossoming tulips in a sea of radiant colors. Celebrate the capital's Dutch heritage at the famous flower festival with family-fun, music, food vendors, a craft show, garden tours and more!
One of the largest free festivals of its kind, Rochester's Highland Park hosts ten days and nights of festivities accompanied by thousands of colorful lilac bushes. Enjoy live music, craft vendors, wine tasting, a brewfest, a home and garden show, a parade and 5K and 10K races. Next to the main festival, Art in the Park is held on Reservoir Ave which features local artists and galleries for two weekends during the celebration.
Williamson Apple Blossom Festival
Celebrate May flowers and spring weather in the Finger Lakes. This four-day festival features live music, food and craft vendors, a parade and a car show as part of a beloved tradition for over 50 years!
