In summer, the sweet sounds of music fill the air in New York State!

SPAC-SaratogaPerformingArtsCenterSit inside the amphitheater or under the stars at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in the Capital-Saratoga region, with performances throughout the season including New York City Ballet, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Lake George Opera, plus some of the biggest names in entertainment. In Glens Falls, enjoy engaging international guest stars at the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra.

On Long Island, Jones Beach Theater, located at Jones Beach State Park, is a magnificent 14,000-seat outdoor performing arts center that overlooks the bay. In Canandaigua, the Constellation Brands - Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, a unique natural amphitheater, is the summer home of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

bethel woodsIn the Catskills, at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY, the state-of-the-art 15,000-capacity Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, an outdoor performing arts venue, offers a diverse selection of popular artists, orchestral performances, and educational and community programs. The Chautauqua Institution's  elegant 5,000-seat amphitheater features many performances, including classical and folk music.

In New York City, enjoy Amateur Night at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. This storied music competition series started the careers of many legends, including Ella Fitzgerald. Further downtown, another world-famous music venue, Carnegie Hall, presents classical, jazz, folk, world and popular music with breakthrough and veteran performers. The 1891 landmark has showcased the world's finest artists-from Tchaikovsky to The Beatles.
