Middletown, N.Y. - Korn's Campgrounds, located at 60 Meyer Road in Middletown, invites players to register for its 5th and final annual Korn's Horseshoe Tournament, to be held Friday August 1st and Saturday, August 2nd, at the campground.

This year's horseshoe tournament is being held in honor of Maybrook, NY resident Joan Smith, a seasonal camper at Korn's Campgrounds, who passed away this past fall

Hudson Valley Jazz Festival Celebrates Fifth Season Aug. 14-17

HV Jazz FestHudson Valley, N.Y. - The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival begins its fifth season August 14-17. The series which takes place in several towns in the greater Hudson Valley features the deep resource of local talent along side grammy winning and nationally recognized jazz names.

This year's feature show, is The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra of NYC's famed Village Vanguard. This 17 piece jazz ensemble, formerly The Thad Jones / Mel Lewis Orchestra has been a fixture on Monday nights for decades at this landmark jazz club. This year, The Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center , a leading performance space in the valley will present them on Saturday Aug. 16 at 8 PM. Another highlight will be "Women in Jazz of The Hudson Valley"on Sunday Aug 17.

Discover how the plants from this expansive collection have survived and been cared for through division and replanting, as well as the challenges of classifying and maintaining the collection. Tour will also include a walk down the Long Border to view foxtail lilies and other late spring bloomers, as well as an overview of the Heritage Vegetable Garden.
