Directed by commissioned European directors, such as Cannes Film Festival award-winning director and actor Mathieu Amalric, each vignette is directly inspired by the works of American legendary painter Edward Hopper. Shot in Berlin, Paris, London, New York and Mexico, each film imagines a story line behind a specific Hopper work, bringing the people in that painting to life. This ingenious concept is sure to enthrall art and film lovers alike and is a rare opportunity to see these award-winning films. Viewer discretion is advised. The event takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, 9:30 am to 5 pm. Admission to this reenactment event is included in a Fort Ticonderoga's general admission ticket. 22nd Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show Taking Place Aug. 3

2013 Best of Show CarTiconderoga, N.Y. - The 22nd Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Ticonderoga's Bicentennial Park from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. There will be a variety of awards given out including Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle, Best of Show Display, 1 Super Wheels Prize Package, Chambers Choice, Fans Choice, Most Radical Engine, Best Color Scheme, Favorite Antique, and Best Work In Progress. In addition Top 25 and Fabulous 50 awards will be given. The show is a judged show and a "SuperWheels Showdown" Qualifier. The first 150 people registered will receive a dash plaque and there will be a variety of special giveaways for pre-registered vehicles.

Beginning Saturday, July 5, extreme tubing will be available Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30-6:30 p.m.  Additional hours are also being offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon- 2 p.m.

The Wild Center Presents Art in the Park

Monday Morning Beginning Artists Series

Tupper Lake, N.Y. - Art enables us to experience nature - including the Adirondack Park - from a fresh perspective. Drawing and painting refines our observation skills and helps us notice new details like the purple-green scales on a fish or the unique way a flower unfurls its petals in the morning sunlight. Scientists and explorers have used art throughout the ages to open their eyes to the wonders of the natural world. Every Monday morning in July and August, The Wild Center will host a two-hour adult beginner art classes taught by Wild Center staff and local guest artists. Ages 15 and up are welcome for each class. Classes are from 9am until 11am.
