Greene County, N.Y. - Home to challenging hill climbs boasting names like the "Devil's Kitchen," the Catskills lay claim to some of the toughest cycling routes in New York, providing the ideal location for several highly anticipated annual cycling competitions.

Greene County Classic at Windham Mountain June 13 is an annual stop on the Anthem Sports Great American Cycling Series. Over 400 racers will ride through the town of Windham, and followed by the Tour of the Catskills Devil's Kitchen Preview Ride in nearby Tannersville.

“Planting Wildness: Finding Roots in Delaware County”

An Interdisciplinary Exhibit by Bertha Rogers at Hanford Mills Museum An Interdisciplinary Exhibit by Bertha Rogers at Hanford Mills Museum East Meredith, N.Y. - The interdisciplinary exhibit, "Planting Wildness: Finding Roots in Delaware County," by Bertha Rogers is on view at Hanford Mills Museum through October 4th. The exhibit includes mixed media artworks, photographs, an accompanying video by Rogers and Jack Schluep, and logging artifacts from the Hanford Mills Museum collection. Rogers' exhibit explains, through words and images, New York's Reforestation Program, which was started in the early 20th century to ensure New York State continued to have timber and forested lands. New York's State Nursery, the first in the nation, started major planting programs as soon as it was established in 1902.

Windham, NY Named as a Site for the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup As the Town Gears Up for Next Week's 2014 Races

Windham, N.Y. - In one week, the 2014 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano will kick off in Windham but today the small community in the Northern Catskills found out that it has already won. In an announcement made by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the Switzerland-based worldwide governing body of cycling, Windham was once again named the only mountain bike world cup site in the United States.
