Naugles Barn at Hallockville Museum FarmRiverhead, N.Y. - Hallockville Museum Farm will host the first in a series of four walking tours on Saturday, April 13 with a walk and talk about Barn Architecture of the North Fork led by local historian Richard Wines, Ph.D., and historic building and preservation expert, Zach Studenroth. The guided tour will examine barns at Hallockville from the 18th to the 20th centuries, including the pre-revolutionary war Homestead Barn and the 1937 Naugles Barn.

Friends of Knox Farm State ParkEast Aurora, NY—As the world observes the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, a pivotal moment in Indigenous history will be celebrated and honored at the Friends of Knox Farm State Park EAclipse Celebration.

Approximately 800 years ago, during a total solar eclipse, the Great Law of Peace was formed, creating the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Ticket holders at the EAclipse event will be able to enjoy a unique blend of live performances, teachings, and powerful Indigenous-produced sound scores centered around the theme of connectivity to the natural world and the creation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

Hudson, NY (March 21, 2024) – Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House presents a solo exhibition by artist, author, and director Michael Lindsay-Hogg. Lindsay-Hogg is best known for his collaborations with Rock’n Roll luminaries The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and many others. As a painter, Lindsay-Hogg’s work has been shown in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris, and are held in many private collections. Curated by Carol McCranie and Javier Magri of HUDSON BRICK LLC, an Art Advisory based in Hudson, NY, and Lisa Ticknor, the exhibition opens Saturday, April 20, 2024 with a reception with the artist from 5-7pm and is on view until June 2, 2024.

New York, N.Y. - Spring is a-bloom at the Seaport Museum! Join us in welcoming the season of awakening and sunshine with a fun-filled scavenger hunt aboard the 1885 tall ship Wavertree.

To mark the season and commemorate Wavertree’s intercontinental crossings, this scavenger hunt challenges people of all ages to find illustrations of flowers hidden throughout the decks of this historical three-masted cargo ship. The flowers we’ll be searching for are illustrations of blossoms from countries Wavertree visited in her impressive 24-year sailing career.
