            Sunny skies, warmer temperatures - and snow. This is a special time of year in New York State for many skiers as they head out to the slopes for some great spring skiing. Heading into spring, Hunter Mountain is still going strong. This weekend, Hunter is hosting the Burton Women's Learn to Ride Camp, March 13-15. Learn from some of the best women coaches in the business. A long-standing tradition at Hunter Mountain, the Chefs Race finals will also offer cooking demonstrations from some of the top regional chefs. Hunter will keep its lifts open an hour later in honor of Daylight Savings Time starting on Saturday, March 14, and continuing Saturdays through the end of the season, weather permitting. Greek Peak Announces 2009-10 Season Pass Price Wipe-Out In its continuing effort to ensure affordable skiing and riding remain for everyone, Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland has announced its 2009-10 Season Pass Price Wipe-Out. Season Passes are now on sale for $289 for a limited time only, until April 12. Skiers and boarders of all abilities can enjoy a season pass loaded with benefits: Bring-a-Friend discounts, lesson discounts, lift discounts at Gore, Whiteface and Bear Creek Resorts, and discounts at participating retailers. Also, after March 15, the pass is valid for the duration of this year's season. As an additional benefit, 2009-10 season pass holders can save up to $5,000 on a Hope Lake Lodge ¼ share purchase. Belleayre Staying Open into April Winter has left Belleayre Mountain in Highmount with such good conditions that operations will continue as long as the snow pack hangs on and the skiers keep coming. Belleayre will thank all of its guests with Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, March 13. Daily lift tickets will be discounted to $25 per person. Late season rates take effect on Saturday, March 14 dropping an adult weekend lift ticket price to $43 and midweek to $38. And for the hardcore skiers and riders, the 2nd Half Season Pass price continues to drop every Sunday until the end of March. Events taking place at Belleayre this weekend include the Annual Cardboard Classic on Saturday, March 14. Bring your own sled designed at home or visit the Longhouse Lodge from 9 a.m. - noon to assemble your creation. This free classic fun event begins at 1 p.m. and helmets are required. The Annual Belleayre Ski Patrol BBQ Fundraiser will also be held this Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., and features live music and delicious barbequed Brooks Chicken. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and $5 for entry to hear the live music. All proceeds go directly to the Belleayre Mountain Ski Patrol. Belleayre's final two Scout Days will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15.  With presentation of a valid Scout ID all Scouts and their immediate family members, will receive discounted lift tickets and rentals and are also entitled to one free group lesson of any level.
