fulton-county-chamber.jpgGloversville, N.Y. - The Third Annual Walleye Ice Fishing Derby has been scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the Great Sacandaga Lake in Fulton County, NY.  The event, which is expected to draw 1,500 fishing enthusiasts, is presented by the Fulton County (NY) Tourism Department and Fuel-N-Food, Inc. of Gloversville, NY. The contest is limited to 1,500 entrants on a first-come, first-served basis.  Entry fee is $30 and registration forms can be picked up at the Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry, 2 N. Main Street, Gloversville, NY or at Fuel-N-Food, 3006 State Highway 30, Gloversville, NY.  Entry forms can also be e-mailed by request via the Fulton County Chamber at info@fultoncountyny.org.  All entries must be received no later than 12/31/10. At the contest, there will be $1000 in prizes awarded per hour awarded based on weight of fish entry: $550 1st prize; $300 2nd prize; $100 3rd prize; $50 4th prize.  It is a catch-and-release tournament.  All paid and registered entrants also will be entered into a drawing for three recreational vehicles, with all prize winners drawn or awarded at the conclusion of the event at 4:00 PM at Lanzi's on the Lake, 1751 State Highway 30, Mayfield.  There also will be "door prizes" awarded throughout the day. Part of the event proceeds will be donated to the Great Sacandaga Fisheries Federation for fish stocking on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
