cony3.JPGSyracuse, N.Y. - Campground Owners of New York (CONY) has announced the recipients of its annual marketing awards, which were presented Nov. 4 during the 47th Annual Conference and Trade Show of Campground Owners of New York (CONY), held at the Holiday Inn Syracuse/Liverpool Airport Hotel. Awards were presented for Website Design, Simple Brochure Design, and Best Mailer Piece. According to Donald G. Bennett, Jr., CONY President and CEO, the marketing awards honor members for their self-promotion activities, and encourage improvements in marketing efforts among the CONY membership. "The effort that our campgrounds and RV parks put into the design work on their brochures and websites continues to amaze me year after year," said Mr. Bennett. "This competition is an opportunity for our members and their designers to show off a little in front of their peers, and maybe encourage others to re-think their own marketing pieces." Ledgeview RV Park of Lake George received the 2010 Marketing Award for Best Website during conference. The campground is located in Lake George, NY, in the Adirondacks vacation region. The winning website at www.ledgeview.com, designed by Bryden Corporation, was chosen as the top website by an independent panel of judges. All members of CONY were invited to submit their websites for judging. Bryan Hickman of Brydan Corporation accepted a plaque on behalf of Ledgeview RV Park owner Pat Green, from CONY Board Chairman Scott Sherwood at the annual Conference banquet. Chautauqua Heights Family Camping Resort received the 2010 Marketing Award for Best Simple Brochure. This is the second year in a row Chautauqua Heights Family Camping Resort has won this award. The campground is located in Dewittville, in Chautauqua County. The winning design was chosen as the top simple brochure by an independent panel of judges. All members of CONY were invited to submit their brochures for judging. Owners Bill and Anita Perry accepted a plaque for the campground from CONY Board Chairman Scott Sherwood at the annual Conference banquet. Starting Spring 2011, Chautauqua Heights Family Camping Resort change its name to be known as Chautauqua Lake KOA, becoming a franchisee partner of Kampgrounds of America. Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort received the 2010 Marketing Award for Best Mailer Piece. This is the third year in a row Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort has won this award. The campground is located in Bath, in the Finger Lakes region. The winning design, entitled "2010 Vacation Guide: Memories that Last a Lifetime," was chosen as the top mailer piece by an independent panel of judges. All members of CONY were invited to submit their mailer pieces for judging. Rosemary Curtis, Operations Manager and Certified Park Operator for Hickory Hill Family Camping Resort, accepted a plaque for the campground from CONY Board Chairman Scott Sherwood at the annual Conference banquet.
