I’ll quack to that!Albany, N.Y. -- The Albany Trolleys has two new tasting tours planned for August, with Diane Conroy LaCivita of Harmony House Marketplace as the guide. On Aug. 1, the Trolley meets everyone at Harmony House on Remsen Street in Cohoes at 11 a.m. for a trip to Brookview Station Winery in Castleton and Harvest Spirits Farm Distillery in Valatie. At Brookview Station, those on the tour will sample 7 of the wines made there and have lunch on the site. At the next stop, Harvest Spirits, there will be tastings of their Core (apple) Vodka and two other spirits, as well as a hands-on lesson in distilling. The cost is $60 and includes tastings, lunch and souvenir glasses. On Aug. 8, the Trolley will depart at 11:30 a.m. from Harmony House for a tour of the Altamont Vineyard & Winery. The winery has nine highly-acclaimed wines, all produced from hand-picked grapes grown on the premises. The cost is $43 and includes the tastings and lunch at the vineyard.
