belleayrelogo4.jpgClassic Spring Events Continue with Turn ‘n Burn, Dummy Race and Slopestyle Park Jam             Highmount, N.Y.  -  After a stellar weekend of perfect spring skiing conditions and fun events such as the Cardboard Classic, the Pine Hill Arms Triathlon, the Tailgate Competition, and a free concert by the New Paltz band the Trapps, Belleayre refuses to slow down as Marchapalooza rolls on. And with late season rates in effect, midweek season passes now valid seven days a week, $20/$10 Wednesdays, $25 Fridays, and Potter Brothers Flex Day Sundays for the rest of this season, skiing and riding has never been more affordable. Visit Belleayre and find out why this is our favorite time of year. There is nothing like getting a great goggle tan while skiing in a T-shirt. This Saturday and Sunday March 27 & 28 come on out for the annual Belleayre Reggae Fest Beach Party Weekend featuring live music, a BBQ on the deck, a wading pool, snow volleyball, games, prizes and more. Live music will be provided by The Dead Beats on Saturday and Dr Jah and the Love Prophets will be jammin' on the Overlook Deck in the sun on Sunday. As part of the Beach Party fun, the Dummy Race gives you a chance to flex your creative muscles on Saturday, March 27. Build a "dummy" on skis or a snowboard and let it rip down the mountain on a course set up behind the Longhouse Lodge. Dummies can be just about anything; a person skiing, the Beast of Belleayre, a giant fish tank - you name it. Just make sure it sits on skis or a snowboard, then shove it off the starting line and watch it go! The winners are crowned based on creativity of the dummy, longest run, and most spectacular crash. Fair warning - take pictures before you launch, since the huge jump at the end of the course ensures your dummy won't be too recognizable at the end. Entry is free. Race starts at 1 pm behind the Longhouse Lodge. For those skiers and snowboarders who can't get enough of the perfect bumps at Belleayre, come out Saturday, March 27 and show everyone what you got on the super steep troughs of Upper Yahoo at the Turn ‘n Burn. At stake are the coveted Belleayre King and Queen of the Bumps titles. Registration for this free event is from 8-10 am in the Garden Room. The Turn ‘n Burn competition begins on Upper Yahoo at 11 with titles awarded at 3pm on the Overlook Deck. Helmets are required. Sunday, March 28 come on out for another Belleayre Slopestyle Competition sponsored by Potter Brothers and Jimmy's Belleayre Ski Shop. Registration is from 8am-10 am in the Great Room of Overlook Lodge. This is another Flex Day Jam competition which begins at 11am in the Area 51 Terrain Park with DJ Heat providing the tunes. People who need tickets should visit Potter Brothers to pick up a voucher for only $23.95. Awards are at 3pm on the Overlook Deck and at stake are the season's grand prizes; a pair of skis and a snowboard. Helmets are required. Belleayre wants to reach a goal of 10,000 skiers a week for the month of March. Customers can earn free lift tickets for skiing Belleayre in March with the 10-10-10-10 promotion. Help Belleayre reach the  goal of 500 people a day midweek, and 2500 people a day on the weekends, and the first 25 people to buy a full price lift ticket each day will get a free return lift ticket.
