Pathfinders learn about the science of the natural world at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum after school program beginning April 6 at the Outdoor Discovery Center. Photo provided.Cornwall, N.Y. - Beginning on Tuesday, April 6 the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will offer a fun and educational five-week after-school program for K-2nd graders to learn about the Science of Earth Explorations at the Outdoor Discovery Center, entrance on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. Pre-registration is required. This Pathfinders After-School program will allow Kindergarten through 2nd graders to become Scientists. Children will join Environmental Educator Carl Heitmuller each week to explore herpetology, meteorology, geology, hydrology and ichthyology! Youngsters will go outside at the Outdoor Discovery Center in the early spring and examine amphibians, weather, rocks, water and fish. They will collect samples, conduct experiments and play games to learn about the science of the natural world.  The Pathfinders program will take place on five consecutive Tuesdays starting April 6. The program will meet from 3:45 pm until 5 pm at the Outdoor Discovery Center, entrance on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. Cost is $90. Members: $75. Space is limited.
