culinary-logo-copy.jpgChamber's New Event One Week Away Watkins Glen, N.Y. - Only one week remains before the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce will host its all new, inaugural event, A Taste of the Finger Lakes on Thursday, October 7th where attendees can come to see, sample and socialize! Taking place at the Watkins Glen Community Center from 6-9:00 p.m., the event's theme will be to capture the essence of culinary creations and farm fresh produce during the "heart of the harvest," while displaying numerous local restaurants, farm markets, wineries, breweries and other food vendors in the area. All under one roof, attendees will have the opportunity to come see, sample and socialize while enjoying a variety of fabulous Finger Lakes fare on this special evening! In addition to sampling some of the finest offerings of the Finger Lakes, musical talent of classical guitarist, William Groome will be featured as well as silent auction opportunities. Currently, an extensive list of vendors are secured for the event offering an amazing variety of flavors including the following businesses:  A Table for Two, Atwater Estates Vineyards, Blue Pointe Grille, Brick Village Gourmet, Chateau Lafayette Reneau, Dr. Franks Unifera Wine Cellars, Glen Mountain Market, Glenora Wine Cellars, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Heron Hill Winery, House of Hong, J.R. Dill Winery, Conference Services at Keuka College, Kirton's Farm Markets, Lakewood Vineyards, Montage Italian Grille, Red Newt Cellars Winery & Bistro, Schuyler County Farm Bureau, Smok'n Bones BBQ, Standing Stone Vineyards, Sunset View Creamery, Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine, Three Brothers Wineries & Estates, Veraisons Restaurant, Village Marina Bar & Grill, Wagner Vineyards, and Watkins Glen International Center Media Center Catering. Additionally, ticket specials have been announced by Chamber President Rebekah LaMoreaux, who unveiled that ALL chamber members will receive $5 off the ticketed price of the event. Tickets to attend the event will be sold for $35 per person in advance ($30 per Chamber member in advance) and $40 per person at the door ($35 per Chamber member at the door). This is another example of how the Chamber is able to offer programs and benefits that promote services of our membership through the newly instated "Member-to-Member Discount Program".
