saratoga-north-creek-railroad.JPG 2nd Annual Event in North Creek North Creek, N.Y. - The Saratoga & North Creek Railway is picking up the popular "Ales on Rails" event starting in North Creek on Saturday, September 24th. The train leaves at 5pm for a two-hour ride along the Hudson River. Tickets are $45 and include: train ride, a Dogfish Head glass, four tastings of Dogfish Head beer specially selected for the trip, appetizers, music and a chance to win door prizes. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, August 12th over the internet or by phone. As a special treat, passengers are encouraged to hold on to their glasses after the train for a Main Street Pub Crawl in North Creek. Participating venues include: barVino l the Copperfield Inn (Trappers & Lorenzo's), The Barking Spider, Andie's, Basil & Wicks, Black Mountain and the Inn at Gore Mountain. The Alpine Lodge, The Black Mountain, The Copperfield Inn, The Inn at Gore Mountain and The Valhaus are available for lodging to encourage responsible drinking. "This will really give people a chance to see how alive North Creek is and to experience the second-to-none hospitality they provide." Breweries presenting their tastings on boards are Dogfish Head Brewery out of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Tri-Valley out of Westmoreland, New York.  "As part of the spirits community, we at barVino look to spread the appreciation in a variety of ways," explained Michael Bowers, owner of barVino.
