albany-capital-holiday-lights.jpgAlbany, N.Y. - For the second year, the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL) has three special walk nights to benefit other non-profit organizations at the 15th Annual Hannaford Capital Holiday Lights in Albany's Washington Park. Each of the walks is from 5 to 8 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 22, for a monetary donation, it's the "Pets Walk Your Partners" night. Walkers may stroll around Washington Park Lake with funds raised benefitting the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. On Wednesday, Nov. 23, the walk around the Lights is a two-fold benefit. Donate a new, unwrapped toy to help PAL's Holiday Toy Drive which serves about 1,000 families each year.  Proceeds from monetary donations this evening also will benefit The Logan Siciliano Fund. Logan, the grandson of retired Albany Police Officer Peter Siciliano, was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome (MFS) shortly after his birth in January. MFS is a genetic disorder of connective tissue which holds all parts of the body together and helps control growth. On Jan. 2, it's time for "PAL Packs the Pantry." A monetary donation benefits local food pantries on the final night of the 15th Annual Hannaford Capital Holiday Lights.
