fulton-county-chamber.jpg Gloversville, N.Y. - The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry has planned a breakfast event entitled "Celebrating Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Women's Rights in Fulton County - Opportunities for our Businesses and Communities for Heritage Tourism" featuring special guest speaker Dr. Judith Wellman, author of The Road to Seneca Falls, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the First Woman's Rights Convention.  The event will take place on Friday, August 26 at 8:00am at the Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, 308 N. Comrie Avenue, Johnstown. Dr. Judith Wellman, Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York's College at Oswego is an authority on Nineteenth-Century U.S. History, Social History, Women's History, and Underground Railroad History.  At the event, Dr. Wellman will speak about how our region's businesses and communities can benefit from embracing and promoting the 2015 celebration of Elizabeth Cady Stanton's 200th Birthday and in 2020 the 100th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, and what these events can mean for us in terms of bringing tourists to our region.
