- Love is in the air at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center, corner of Broadway and Clinton Avenue in downtown Albany, as the Center hosts a Valentine's Day mixed media art exhibit presented by Art n Soul, Inc. The public is invited to the free exhibit opening on 1st Friday, February 4th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The opening will also showcase custom jewelry, vintage aprons, and a special Valentine's star program in the Henry Hudson Planetarium. The exhibit is on display through March 25th.
Two workshops will be held during the three month-long exhibit:
- On Saturday, February 12th, Pamper Yourself!: A Holistic & Wellbeing Workshop will be held from noon to 3 p.m. The workshop includes demonstrations on yoga, meditation, massage therapy, Reiki and other ways to pamper yourself and nurture your relationships. Participants include The Body Works Wellness Center and Key 2 Joy. Cost is $10 per person.
- On Saturday, March 5th, a workshop entitled Artrepreneurship 101 will be held from noon to 2 p.m. for up and coming artists. During this workshop, Chief Creativity Coach, Janet Tanguay, from Art n Soul, will discuss how to market and promote art work. Cost is $20 per person. For reservations, contact 518-842-1757.
