Greig, N.Y. - Bring your friends and family and join Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust for a snowshoe trek this January! The land trust's first field trip of the new year will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 10am-2pm on protected property in Greig, NY. This beautiful property is protected by Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust and borders the Independence River (contact Tug Hill Tomorrow for directions). This easy to moderately difficult trek is free and open to the public, and will be about 2-miles on mostly flat to gently sloping terrain. Beginning snowshoers and kids of all ages are encouraged to attend! This will be an educational and fun snowshoe led by Tug Hill Tomorrow board members and staff. Please provide your own snowshoes, food and water, and remember to dress appropriately! Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust does have a limited amount of snowshoes to lend (both youth and adult sizes), please call for availability.
