belleayrelogo.jpgHighmount, N.Y. - Belleayre is only a little more than halfway through the ski season and already has over 10 feet of natural snow! Don't be one of those people who gripes and complains about winter. Visit Belleayre, get out and play in it. It's not only fun, there is no better way to exercise in winter than skiing and riding so it's healthy too. From bumps to groomers to terrain parks to glades ~ the entire mountain is in and the conditions are amazing. February is the month for skiing and riding and the Belleayre calendar is packed with fun family events and great deals for everyone. Red Bull Butter Cup in Prospect Park Belleayre Mountain would like to congratulate Belleayre Snowboard instructor Ryan Tota and season pass holder and snowboarding prodigy 9 year old Jack Armbruster for competing in the Red Bull Butter Cup in Prospect Park in Brooklyn on February 5. The Butter Cup took place at the 2011 NYC Winter Jam sponsored by Whiteface Mountain and Ski Areas of NY on a day of pouring rain and chilly temps. But the rain didn't deter the competition as over 80 snowboarders showed to compete in the Butter Cup, a nationwide Rail Jam series sponsored by Red Bull. Jack was clearly a crowd favorite and made it to the amateur finals with 9 other snowboarders twice his age and three times his size. In the 10 minute final Jam session Jack had the crowd cheering wildly as he smoothly "buttered" his way over the rails and onto the podium! Congratulations Jack!
