March is the month for skiing and riding and Belleayre has great deals for everyone. $20 Wednesdays, $25 Customer Appreciation Fridays, Potter Brothers Flex Sundays and the new 5 & 10 College Promotion make Belleayre the most affordable option for skiers and riders to get the most bang for their buck. People looking to stay over should contact the Belleayre Region Lodging Association because local hotels are offering great deals for Ski and Stay packages the entire month of March. And the Belleayre spring calendar is packed with fun family events for all ages such as the Pine Hill Arms Triathlon, the Tailgate Competition, the Dummy Race, the Cardboard Classic and Reggae Fest Weekend just to mention a few. The 5 and 10 College Promotion Can't afford to go out West for a Spring Break Ski Trip? Don't be jealous of your friends who go away. Bring the party to Belleayre for an affordable Spring Break Getaway. For the month of March, groups of 5 or more college students pay $25 per person, everyday. Bring a group of 10 students or more and get lift tickets for $20 per person. To participate in this promotion visit the Guest Services Desk at either Overlook or Discovery Lodge. Each person in the group must show a current valid college ID or a letter from the school's Bursar's Office verifying current enrollment. Belleayre Mountain and the Center for Spectrum Services have partnered to present a special Ski for Autism Day to be held at Belleayre on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Belleayre Mountain has generously donated 200 specially-priced lift tickets to be sold by Spectrum Services with all proceeds to support the many programs that are offered by the Center for Spectrum Services to enhance the quality of life for children with autism and their families throughout the Hudson Valley. Special $25 lift tickets (first 200 registrants) will provide guests with a full day of skiing, as well as automatic entry into the Race for Autism ski and snowboard race taking place the same day. Purchasers interested in participating in the race can register on the mountain on the day of the event. Center for Spectrum Services will also be presenting an information table to increase community awareness and operating a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $25 and will be available on a first come, first served basis at Belleayre Mountain beginning at 8:00 a.m. on March 12th. The Race will begin at 10:30 on Yahoo. Helmets are required. Saturday, March 12 is the next chance to win great prizes with ClearChannel Slope Spies. Register at the ClearChannel tent outside Overlook Lodge and get a Slope Spies ticket. If a Slope Spies staff member spots you on the hill they will send you to the registration tent for a prize. Annual Ski Patrol BBQ Come out to support Belleayre Ski Patrol Saturday, March 12 at this fun annual party with Brooks Chicken BBQ and live music with Belleayre favorites Blues Manuevers. It doesn't get any better and it's for a great cause. Adults tickets are $20, Kids tickets are $10. There's also a raffle with tons of great prizes. This event begins at 6:30pm. Potter Brothers Flex Day Sunday, March 13 is the next Potter Brothers Flex Day. Buy your ticket at any Potter Brothers store for only $27.95. Please note that Potter Brothers Flex Tickets cannot be purchased at Belleayre Mountain and must be purchased at Potter Brothers stores. Pine Hill Arms Triathlon Calling all hardcore multi-sport athletes. Saturday, March 19 is time again for the Annual Pine Hill Arms Triathlon, a unique and fun race that starts at the summit of Belleayre Mountain and ends at the Pine Hill Arms. Participants must negotiate a 2.2 mile downhill ski course, a 10 mile lung busting bike leg and finish with a leg burning 5 mile run. The Triathlon is followed by a Gourmet Bayou Party and Awards Ceremony at the Pine Hill Arms. It takes a special person or team of people to win this race. Do you have what it takes? Tailgate Competition Come on out to the 2nd Annual Belleayre Tailgate Competition Saturday, March 19 and have a chance at winning a Season Pass for the 2011-2012 Season, just for throwing a party. Bring the grill, bring the love and show off your tailgate style as we cordon off a part of the Upper Mountain Parking Lot for people to set up their spreads. There will be all sorts of great prizes for best presentation, best food and best overall scene. The grand prize is a Season Pass, so pack your picnic basket, get your party on and see if you can knock off the reigning champion, Grillin' and Chillin'. Cardboard Classic Have you ever wanted to sled down Belleayre Mountain? Here's your chance Sunday, March 20. Everyone is welcome to make their own sled out of cardboard and duct tape, then race down the slope behind the Longhouse Lodge. Make your sled at home and bring it with you, or come to the Longhouse Lodge between 9 am - noon to use materials Belleayre provides. Use your imagination to build the most stable and aerodynamic sled you can. Cost is free to enter. Race begins at 1 pm. Helmets are required. Belleayre Hall of Fame Dinner Dance Centerplate Concessions cordially invites people to attend The 5th Annual Belleayre Hall of Fame Dinner Dance. Enjoy an evening of celebration as Belleayre honors this year's inductees Haywood Buerge, Missy Correia and Sy Evans on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Overlook Lodge.
