belleayre-logo2.gifMichael Balboni to Be Honored with Spirit of the Catskills Award at the 26th Annual Snowball Highmount, N.Y. - On Friday, January 27th, Belleayre Mountain and Centerplate will continue the Winter Fest celebration by hosting a good old fashioned country hoe down at the new Red Barn Bar in the Discovery Lodge from 4 to 8pm. Admission is free with live music provided by the popular local band Country Express. Country Express is based in Delaware County, N.Y. and is known for its classic country sound, which includes songs of some of the all time greats like Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Hank Williams, and many others, plus sounds from newer country artists like Faith Hill and George Strait. There will be a $10 Chicken BBQ with all of the fixings as well as other BBQ favorites and drink specials at the Red Barn. Friday the 27th is an official Press Day at Belleayre Mountain. The Guest of Honor will be the Honorable Michael A. L. Balboni, former NY State Senator and Deputy Director for Public Affairs for New York State who will be presented with this year's Spirit of the Catskills Award for his work supporting Belleayre.
