tioga-county.JPGBerkshire, N.Y. - For the 5th year, The Tioga County Agricultural Resource Group is pleased to offer to the public free ice cream sundaes with delicious locally grown toppings.  Plan to be at the Luszczek Family Farm on 155 Rejmer Road in Berkshire, NY on Sunday, August 19, from 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm for an enjoyable "Sundae Sunday" at the farm.  In addition to free ice cream, there will also be local food, children's activities, farmers' market, live music, education stations, and a self-guided dairy tour.  This is a unique opportunity to savor the flavors of Tioga County while experiencing a behind-the-scenes look at this successful family farm. While at Sundaes at the Farm, you'll experience life on this diversified farm.  There will be four educational stations to learn about life on the farm: a milking parlor, feed station, animal health care area and conservation practices booth.  There will also be farmer's market items for sale and last, but not least, free ice cream! A scavenger hunt will be a highlight for the kids and their families.  Enjoy the sound of Bluegrass music by the "Hilltoppers."  The Tioga County Dairy Princess will also be serving free milk punch.  In addition to ice cream sundaes, the Tioga County 4-H Program will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, salt potatoes and drinks.  The ice cream sundaes will be served with locally grown toppings of strawberries, blueberries, and an assortment of other yummy toppings.   Directions: From NYS Route 17- Take exit 64- Owego.  Follow State Route 96 N through the village of Owego.  Go straight at the traffic light just north of the village of Owego, where State Route 38 N starts.  Proceed for a couple miles on State Route 38, then take a left turn onto West Creek Road, County Road 33.  Proceed straight north on West Creek Road for 7 miles.  At the intersection where West Creek Road makes a sharp left, proceed STRAIGHT onto Rejmer Road.
