Buffalo, NY - For the Buffalo History Museum three's a charm as it announces M&T Bank's support. Joining neighboring cultural institutions, Albright Knox Art Gallery M&T FIRST FRIDAYS and Burchfield Penney Art Center M&T SECOND FRIDAYS, The Buffalo History Museum offers M&T THIRD FRIDAYS in welcoming the community to the Museum, Resource Center, and select events free of charge. Every month, M&T THIRD FRIDAYS' visitors will experience new programs, family events, entertainment, docent-led tours, and more. Members always receive free or discounted admission to special happenings. "Our hope is that The Buffalo History Museum's exciting new plans for the third Friday of each month will draw new and renewed interest in the museum's programs and collection," said Nancy Brock, program director for The M&T Charitable Foundation. "When people consider their entertainment options for Fridays in Buffalo, there will be three Fridays just chock full of stimulating free cultural events for everyone." The first of M&T THIRD FRIDAYS launches March 15 with free admission to the Museum and Resource Center all day. Scheduled are docent-led tours of exhibits: 150th Ever After, Oishei Pioneer Gallery, Neighbors, and Spirit of the City: Imagining the Pan-American Exposition. Also featured is GIANTS of BUFFALO, a new speaker series that spotlights specific industries and fetes Western New York individuals who have made extraordinary contributions in their field. This event free for members of Buffalo History Museum, Buffalo Broadcasters Association, Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame with membership card; $10. Nonmembers.
