Cold Spring, N.Y.  - There is plenty happening under the Tent at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival this summer, and starting August 8, there will be even more HVSF to enjoy when HVSF2 (formerly known as In Process) gets under way at The Depot Theater in Garrison.  Now in its fifth season, this exciting series explores new plays in a lab setting with HVSF company members in readings of contemporary work. All tickets for HVSF2 are $25 and may be purchased at http://philipstowndepottheatre.org. The Philipstown Depot Theatre is located at the Garrison Train Station, 4 miles from the Bear Mountain Bridge off Route 9D, Garrison's Landing.

Friday, August 8 at 7pm

Sense and Sensibility, adapted from Jane Austen's novel by Kate Hamill

With Laura Baranik, Michael Borelli, Kate Hamill, Katie Hartke, Max Hunter, Jack Lafferty, Maggie McDowell,
Andrus Nichols, Jason O'Connell, and Gabra Zackman

When their father dies leaving his entire inheritance to his only son, sisters Marianne and Elinor Dashwood are forced to search for romance without the benefit of financial security (or a dowry). Based on Jane Austen's renowned novel, Kate Hamill's stage adaptation examines the importance of both sense and sensibility in the gossipy world of 19th century England.

Timon of Athens, in a modern transcription by Kenneth Cavander

When Timon, a philanthropic aristocrat, realizes he's given away all of his wealth to "friends" who refuse to help him repay his debts, he exiles himself and denounces mankind.
Shakespeare's cautionary tale is adapted in a modern transcription by Kenneth Cavander.

Hamlet in Bed, by Michael Laurence

Michael is an actor who's obsessed with two things: playing Hamlet and finding his mother, who gave him up for adoption at birth. This is a fun, sexy take on Hamlet that will delight those with an affinity for Shakespeare's masterpiece.
