Wayne County, N.Y. - The Wayne County Office of Tourism has re-vamped the Fishing Update section of its web page, designing a faster, easier way to obtain fishing information.

"Anglers always want to gather necessary fishing information fast," stated Chris Kenyon, Outdoor Recreation Coordinator for Wayne County Tourism. "They don't want to waste time searching where to fish, obtain a license, or learn daily limits of the species they're targeting. We have redesigned the Fishing Page so that all the pertinent information is on the right side of the page. This will be where to look before you make your trip."

Visitors wishing to fish Wayne County waters will now find tournament and other information by easily clicking the desired links. The main body will continue to report fishing conditions on a weekly basis.

"The Tourism office was one of the first in New York State to offer fishing updates," Kenyon said. "We started with a simple phone message twenty years ago and now have updates from our web page. For those who have plenty of fishing poles but no computer we still offer the phone service."

The fishing report is usually updated on Tuesday and can be located at www.waynecountytourism.com. The "Fishing Hotline" is 315-946-5466.
