Support the museum during this nation-wide day of charitable giving

Blue Mountain Lake, N.Y. - Following the museum's Black Friday and Small Business Saturday events on Nov. 27 and 28, #GivingTuesday, (Dec. 1) presents an opportunity to give back, and join in the national celebration of charitable giving. This special day of giving demonstrates the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

The Adirondack Museum collects, preserves, and shares the stories of the people who have lived, worked, and played in the Adirondacks. On Giving Tuesday, generous donors can attribute to the continued sharing of the Adirondack story.
Support the Adirondack Museum this Holiday Season
Donating on Giving Tuesday helps to support the Adirondack Museum's Annual Fund and further the museum's mission. The museum relies on a number of sources to fund its operations including admission fees, membership dues, retail sales, and the all-important annual fund campaign. Giving Tuesday gifts to the museum support the ability to tell the Adirondack story, preserve unique collections, provide educational programs to schools throughout the North Country, and contribute to the local community.

How to Give

On #GivingTuesday (Dec. 1), support the museum's Annual Fund by giving to the organization that cherishes Adirondack stories and people, and shares them with the world.

The Adirondack Museum, accredited by the American Association of Museums, shares the history and culture of the Adirondack region in 24 historic and contemporary buildings on a 32-acre campus in the Central Adirondacks and in free programs at schools throughout these North Country counties: Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Oneida, Saratoga, St. Lawrence, Warren and Washington. The museum is supported in part with donations from the general public, and some general operating support is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
