HickoryWarrensburg, N.Y. - In celebration of being 100% open on a deep 28" base of all natural snow, Hickory Ski Center is offering a special $30 lift ticket rate this Sunday, March 1st to 2014-2015 season passholders from other ski resorts.

2014-2015 season passholders from any ski resort are invited to come experience Hickory. Skiers and snowboarders must simply present their valid season pass at the ticket window to receive the $30 all day lift ticket. To inject even more fun into the day, the resort will be keeping a tally of which resort has the most passholders visit Hickory on Sunday. At 2 pm, Hickory will announce the winning resort and each passholder present from the victorious resort will receive a voucher for one single day lift ticket good for the rest of the 2014-2015 season!

"So many skiers and boarders have heard about Hickory, but never been," noted Hickory board member David Cronheim. "Sunday we aim to change that by inviting passholders from other resorts to see what the hype is all about. All it takes is one day experiencing our legitimately world class terrain and natural snow and Hickory will hook you."

This weekend the ski area will be operating both Saturday (2/28) and Sunday (3/1). Lifts run from 9 am until 4pm.

About Hickory Ski Center:
Nestled in the scenic Adirondack Mountains just one hour from Albany is the historic Hickory Ski Center. Founded as "Hickory Hill" in 1945 by veterans of the famed ski troops of the American 10th Mountain Division, Hickory has stood like a sentinel on the banks of the Hudson River for almost 70 years. The spot - at the confluence of the Schroon and Hudson Rivers under the dominating presence of a sheer rock massif - is amongst the most beautiful in the Adirondacks. With a 1230' drop and some of New York's best expert terrain and best family skiing, Hickory offers big mountain skiing close to home.

Hickory is also in the midst of a major campaign to ensure decades of successful future operations through the founding of the Hickory Alpine Club, a club designed to help support the installation of a snowmaking system.
