Clayton, N.Y. - The June 3-5, 2016 North Country Quilting Guild Biennial Quilt Show in Clayton, in the 1000 Islands region of New York State, will feature a silent auction of more than 60 miniature quilts made by quilters from across the Northern, Adirondack and Central NY regions.
Proceeds from the sales of the works measuring no more than 96 inches all around will go to help breast cancer patients, women and men, in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties through the Gouverneur Women's Breast Cancer Walk.
The small works feature themes of all sorts from cats and dogs to wildlife, Christmas and other holidays, and traditional and modern quilt patterns.
More than 300 full-size quilts will be on display at the show along with a special 30 Anything quilt exhibit in honor of the 30th anniversary of the nearly 100-member North Country Quilting Guild. Demonstrations, vendors, and a Caring and Sharing table highlighting the charitable work of the Guild in
support of the North Country Children's Home and Jefferson County Women's Shelter are also part of the June 3-5, 2016 show in Clayton.
The North Country Quilting Guild Biennial Quilt Show is held at Cerow Recreation Park Arena, 615 East Line Road, in Clayton, NY. Show hours are 10 am to 6 pm Friday-Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm Sunday. Admission is $7. Find more details online at www.ncqg.org.
