Hear the story of a soldier whose death sparked what could be considered the country's first international incident. This event, known as the "Huddy-Asgill Affair," crossed General George Washington's desk in 1782 while headquartered here at Newburgh, New York and nearly derailed the cause for American independence. Written and presented by Lynette Scherer, Historic Interpreter, at Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site. This free virtual event will be available beginning at 2:00 PM on June 19.
