2023 Junior International Carp Tournament

The 20th St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament is being hosted in Waddinton, NY USA. The tournament takes place over two days along a 30-mile stretch of the St. Lawrence River. Kids aged 11-18 are eligible to take part. Trophies and Cash Prizes are awarded to winners & runners up (see below). For more details and entry forms please contact Jo Ann Roberts. This is a Catch & Release Fishing Event organized and supported by the Carp Anglers Group of North America. Who is Eligible? Participants must be ages 11-18 to register, and are eligible for trophies and cash prizes. Adults may also fish, if done so with a child, but are only eligible for medals. (4) Age Divisions: 11-14 Girls; 11-14 Boys; 15-18 Girls; and 15-18 Boys Awards: Prizes are awarded in each of the (4) Divisions, based on heaviest (4) carp caught, as follows: 1st Place - Trophy and $800; 2nd Place - Trophy and $400; 3rd Place - Trophy and $200; Overall Grand Champion - an additional $1,000. Teams: Participants all compete individually, however, may also be part of a team of (2) - (4) people. 1st Place Team -- Gold Medal; 2nd Place Team -- Silver Medal; and 3rd Place Team -- Bronze Medal Adult Division: 1st Place -- Gold Medal; 2nd Place -- Silver Medal; 3rd Place -- Bronze Medal Riley Basford Memorial Sportsmanship Award and Possible additional awards. There is also a large variety of miscellaneous awards that vary from year to year: first fish, last fish, smallest fish, biggest fish, etc.)
