2024 Total Solar Eclipse: Weekend Festivities

On Monday, April 8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse, and Genesee County is in the direct path of totality. A total solar eclipse occurs when the new Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and totally blocks out the sun. Local businesses throughout the county will be hosting special events throughout the weekend and selling eclipse-themed products.
