The Rec Park Music Fest is an event that has showcased both local/regional talent, and beautiful Recreation Park, since its inception in 1996. The event always takes place on a Sunday afternoon, in the summer, and is a great way for individuals, and families, to see their favorite groups! In the spring of 2019 the event was renamed the 1st Annual Harper M. Stantz Rec Park Music Fest to honor the memory of wonderful 16-year-old Westside Binghamton resident Harper M. Stantz who passed away on March 13, 2019. She and her best friend were run down on the sidewalk while walking home from Recreation Park in a senseless act of violence. Harper was beautiful inside and out and was a spirited person known for her love of friends, sense of adventure, appreciation of music, strong personality and kind and compassionate soul. The Stantz Family have always been strong supporters of The Rec Park Music Fest and the event was dedicated to Harper and will continue to celebrate her life for years to come. This year, the tradition will continue with a day of music, fun, and activities, in Binghamton's historic Recreation Park! Come see your favorite regional talent, bring a blanket, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the summer weather! More information will be posted as the event approaches. Other Activities: Children’s Activity Tent, Food/Ice Cream for Sale, Face Painting and all that Recreation Park has to offer in a summer!
