41st Annual Strawberry Festival & Treasures in the Trunk

The Mayfield Historical Society will be kicking off the summer season with its 41st Annual Strawberry Festival and featuring its summer exhibit "School Days" on Saturday, June 15th, from noon to 4 pm at The Rice Homestead. Learn about Upstate New York rural schools and education in the 1800's and early 1900's.  Live music will be provided by Ryan Matter from 1-3. Admission is free.  Strawberry shortcake with ice cream and lemonade will be available for a donation of $5/$3 for children 8 and under.  Free tours of the Rice Homestead will be given and the Loom Room, Mill Stone Garden, Heritage Flower Garden, and Oliver's Trail will be open for viewing and strolling.  Along with the “School Days” Exhibit, the old Munsonville school house bell is now ensconced in a belfry on the Homestead property and guests are encouraged to “ring the bell.”  In the event of rain, the event will take place at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St. in Mayfield.
