The day will honor and acknowledge the true meaning of Juneteenth. The first half of the program will be inclusive of music, art and dialogue. The Second part of the program will include visiting local tourist historic African American sites inclusive of: Lloyd's Neck, Lloyd's Manor home of Jupiter Hammon, the first African American published poet in America,  The Pine Hollow Cemetery, A New York Historic Site in Oyster Bay were 13 Civil War Union Colored Soldiers that served in the 20th, 26th and 33rd Regiments of the United States Colored Troops are interred. Lastly, a tour of the first descendant African American community known as Pine Hollow formed in 1685, where many people of color created a sense of belonging and community for other African Americans coming out enslavement.
