Participants will be led through the Lake George Battlefield Park, a key location during the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. Guests will also be able to visit the Park's new Visitor Interpretive Center, which hosts many artifacts and exhibits that detail some of the important activities in and around our grounds. Tours will be led by trained volunteer historians from the Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance, a not-for-profit "friends" group that supports the State Department of Environmental Conservation in its management of the Park. Literature that describes the presence in Lake George of historic figures such as St. Isaac Jogues, Sir William Johnson, the Marquis de Montcalm, Henry Knox and Philip Schuyler will be made available to all as keepsakes and aids in future visits to this beautiful landscape. Tour begins at 11 AM on Saturday, 1 PM on Sunday.
