Annual Commemoration of the Battle of White Plains

The public is invited to come join the White Plains Historical Society to commemorate the important 1776 Battle of White Plains and visit the 302-year-old Historic Jacob Purdy House. See General Washington and his troops in action. Visit their army camp, talk with blacksmiths, surgeon, wool spinner, other camp followers. There will be an opportunity for kids to make their own colonial tricorn hat and to drill with our troops. Enjoy a chatting with a Native American. Tour the historic house with Abagail Purdy.
