Bard SummerScape: "Dalibor" at the Fisher Center

Bard College's annual SummerScape festival features two action-packed months of performances from June through August. Head to the iconic Fisher Center or the one-of-a-kind Spiegeltent and experience amazing theater, dance, music and comedy all summer long!

"Dalibor"

• Experience the gripping drama of Bedrich Smetana’s powerful Czech opera that weaves themes of revenge, love, and fate. Director Jean-Romain Vesperini returns to Bard SummerScape to helm this first fully staged American production of a rarely heard masterpiece.

• Venue: Sosnoff Theater, Fisher Center

• Performances: July 25, 6:30 p.m.; July 27, 2 p.m.; July 30, 2 p.m.; Aug. 1, 4 p.m.; Aug. 3, 2 p.m.

The July 25 performance will include an opening night intermission toast.

For the July 27 performance, Maestro Leon Botstein will deliver a preshow talk on Bedrich Smetana’s rarely heard opera at 12 p.m.

Coach transportation will be available from New York City for the July27 and Aug. 3 shows.
